This mandatory Information Standard requires secondary care NHS funded healthcare providers in England to electronically issue eMED3 fit notes. Fit notes may be completed by the issuing Registered Medical Practitioner, Nurse, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, or Occupational therapists.
